The Engine Room
Please take some time to read about the cogs that make our engine work...
Richard Green
Managing Director
Do I know what I'm talking about? Hopefully!
I've worked for some great companies; Procter and Gamble, Reckitt Benckiser, Bass, Lloyds TSB and Europcar amongst them, and I've done the theoretical graft with an MBA from Manchester Business School, and studied for a Masters in E-business at Staffordshire University.
Of course, the really important bit is to be able to apply that knowledge and experience to the clients we serve.......which I think we seem to be doing okay!
Major passions? Family, Manchester United, having fun, skiing trying to keep fit and seeing as much of the world as possible.
Major Driver? Seeing our clients' businesses grow. It really is rewarding to unlock opportunities and see companies exceeding their own expectations.

Managing Director
Having done 'the hard yards' in both Corporate Life and running small businesses I guess I'm equipped to help out on many levels.
A couple of stints in the Middle East working with DHL across The Gulf and UAE and then the largest retail bank in Saudi Arabia adds up to a not so 'run of the mill' career path; perhaps Lloyds, The Co-op, Clerical Medical and Britannia Building Society have added some normality to my experience backed up by my MBA from Sheffield University.
The main thing is that its all been great fun and full of variety! Seeing our clients grow and helping them along the way is a real passion and with such a range of client industries within our portfolio we're always able to draw on experiences across many disciplines.
With a hectic family life there's little time for much else but Golf, Tennis and keeping fit are always on the agenda.....and of course regular attendance at Old Trafford!

Digital Project Manager - Cheshire
I stumbled across Give The Dog A Bone when our paths crossed via a client we had in common. I had run my own web development business for 5 years, and until that point I had never found other web developers with the same business ethos and approach to digital marketing as myself. Hence it was a no brainer for me when offered the opportunity to become part of the Give The Dog A Bone team.
I have since handed over most of my development work to the technical team and can now concentrate fully on supporting my clients. I consider myself to be a Digital Project Manager, giving my time, knowledge and experience to help with all sorts of business needs and requirements. Under the Give The Dog A Bone brand I now also offer traditional print and marketing services to my clients, in the secure knowledge that they will be getting quality results.
Oh and the coffee making skills of the team is an added bonus of working in the office, although the iPod selection is sometimes a little dodgy! :)

Marc Grierson
Web Developer
I first found an interest in computers when my dad returned from work one day with an old Windows 3.1 machine with nothing but a floppy disk drive to import and export files. Over the years my fascination grew as my home computer evolved. After years of using the computer to simply play Championship manager I decided it would be good to use my PC to be more productive with my time.
I joined Mid Cheshire college to begin ND Multimedia and then a Foundation Degree in New Media. Throughout both these courses I realised creating websites would be the perfect career choice for me and pursued this path by joining Give the Dog a Bone as soon as I had left college. Since joining Give the Dog a Bone I have gained a lot of experience within the industry and developed my skills in creating designs that I like to believe are pleasing to the eye.
As much as I like spending time in front of a computer screen, I do make time for a social life, which mainly includes playing football and watching football with the lads.
Andrew Metcalf
Web Developer
I joined the Give the Dog a Bone team in my second year of my degree as a part time web developer and have not looked back since. I spent a lot of my college/university years working in retail which is a far cry from my current position. Give the Dog a Bone is an enjoyable place to work as long as there is tea in your cup, your own music playing in the office and biscuits in the biscuit tin, which in truth, there usually is!
There is never a boring day of work at Give the Dog a Bone, with new challenges every single day. There's no time to stand still and observe if you want to leave spot on 5pm.
Outside of work I enjoy spending time with friends and family, listening to music and watching/playing football, which is probably the most important thing in the world, apart from family of course.
Stuart Winnard
Graphic Designer
I've been part of the Give The Dog a Bone team for around three years, however, I split my time between the office and walking the dog Chico. In my spare time I sit and ponder over my lost Subbuteo collection and my newly beloved Manchester City, who I support from growing up in Preston.
My main passion is Graphic Design, however, i'm very partial to the odd bit of Goalkeeping. I first became interested in Goalkeeping when Manchester United signed Massimo Taibi in 1999, I studied his work very closely, until he left the club after a great service in 2000.

Lee Herbert
Rainmaker
Hello I'm Lee, aka the Rainmaker, so im told … I am an approachable, hands on, kind of guy, with a balance of methodical thinking and creative flair. I have a good eye for opportunity and Business Development and don’t mind getting my hands dirty.
I suppose you could say im a bit of a “duck”, looks calm on top but below the water im pedalling like mad to make sure things get delivered smoothly.
Having worked in Marketing, Advertising and Business Strategy for over 18 years in most business sectors ranging from finance, media, industrial, leisure, entertainment and retail. I have a good knowledge of how to tailor our services in order to guarantee it fits the clients requirements.
I believe that we offer an extremely effective, versatile and approachable service, that normally (I'm not perfect!) results in getting the job done with a smile.
Steve Barrett
The Numbers Man
My name is Steve and i've worked for Give the Dog a Bone for a couple of years now. I'm the person that's in charge of sending out the invoices and keeping track of all the payments that are made by clients.
I enjoy working for Give the Dog a Bone, I enjoy the good working atmosphere in the office, although, in an office full of Manchester United fans, it's just about bearable for a Liverpool fan.
